Phase II of FishHawk Ranch is the largest of the community’s developmental stages. This phase sits just to the south of FishHawk Blvd and consists of single family homes, townhomes, gated communities that contain both villas as well as custom built homes and homes built in the phase’s Garden District.
The villas are essentially duplex type structures in which two homes share a roof and these provide the owners with a custom community environment at a lower cost. The homes in the Garden District include both townhomes as well as large, custom built homes that reside in close proximity to Park Square.
Park Square is the central community park that includes a water fountain, a concert area and several restaurants and stores.
Just behind the Park Square area is the community’s large Aquatic Club which contains a featured water park with slide, Olympic-style pools and a clubhouse with a snack bar. Likewise, the Palmetto Club which is a facility that hosts events and gatherings is located just diagonally across from Park Square on the other side.
Phase II is FishHawk Ranch’s central development area that contains the community’s two elementary schools which are Bevis Elementary and FishHawk Creek Elementary. Bevis Elementary is located just across from the Osprey Club which has still another Olympic-style pool, basketball and tennis courts and also has a gym along with a community theater for movies and parties.
Furthermore, Phase II also contains the area’s primary shopping centers that house a Winn Dixie, a Publix, several banks including Suntrust, Wells Fargo and Bank of America along with other retailers and an Outback Restaurant.
Phase II is also just across the street from FishHawk Ranch’s sports complex where all the baseball fields are. In this regard, Phase II might be thought of as the nucleus of FishHawk Ranch itself despite being the second of several phases in the development of the community.
